Micha Boyett of Mama Monk passes on some advice a fellow Young Life counselor once gave her:
“So few girls are touched in a tender, non-sexual, non-violent, non-manipulative way. So few girls are touched in a way that demands nothing of them. They are all craving true, loving touch.”
I agree, not only about girls but about our entire culture. We just can’t get comfortable with non-sexual physical affection.
