Continuing the saga of the “false rape accusation” infographic, British newspaper The Independent has printed their own riff on the original, showing the percentage of rapes that result in police reports, court cases, and actual convictions. Since the data is based on records of rapes rather than estimation of the number of rapists, the numbers are probably much more reliable—but no less gloomy.
